Aggressive Is Never Enough For Poker Variants |
|
Control is control and it has no substitute regardless of what kind of poker from the many poker variants you have chosen to play. There can be many situations in any poker variants for you to be playing with momentum and you would have reached a point where you are not able to stop playing. You get addicted to your momentum to the extent that you cannot stop. This is an absolute weak point and you must learn to control yourselves in a way that you do not play based on momentum.
A professional player or a pro is one who has control in every increments regardless of the poker variants they are involved in playing. You need to be able to perform the quick adjustments so quickly that you will be able to do it seamlessly. You should have the start stop control under the rule of commonsense. You must be able to go aggressive and stop it suddenly and start slow playing and turn back to check and make all of these things without expressions of letting go on why you are doing it. You must be able to think new at any situation without making decisions based on past momentum.
In almost all poker variants there are some players that wait for the best starting hand and they start making their bets regardless of what can happen next. When they get a good hand they are not bothered about what can happen next and they swing and fly bets like hell, aggressive to the point that others are scared and they themselves exhaust their chips to the level they go all in. Though this approach will make better money regardless of poker variants played you will be making better winning if you play the rest of the hand correctly. Remember that in any poker variants you are playing apart from making the right kind of starting hands decision you should make the decision throughout the progression of the play.
For any kind of poker variants there is a pinch of magic that aggression can give, but we need to know that there is a difference between blind aggression and selective aggression. Selective aggression plays a better magic than blind aggression. The determination to be aggressive is never enough for any poker variants rather you should be able to filter out situations and be selective about when you will be aggressive and when you will not be aggressive. |
